The 10th Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2013 will be held on January 20, with more running slots for women runners in the full marathon (250), half-marathon (1000) and overall increase in prize money by $ 10,000. Top Indian male and female performers will earn Rs. 4.50 lakh each.
The following conditions have been put in place for the 10th year run: Participants must have competed in an event held in the past 24 months preceding to race day and officially recognised by AIMS or organised by State/district athletic association, sport control board.
Applicants need to come with timing certificates photocopies along with application form. The timings eligibility is seven hours and seven hrs, 30m (full marathon men and women), 3:30 and 3:45 (25km men and women), 3:15 and 3:30 (half-marathon men and women), two hours and 2:15 (15kms men and women), 1:30 and 1:40 (10kms men and women).
Registrations commence on July 19, 2012 for full and half marathons and close on November 10; between August 21-25 for Dream Run and between August 27-Sept 15 for Wheelchair/Senior Citizens run. The SCMM is designated Gold Label event by IAAF, world athletics body.
