Baddely wins mile race in Boston

British Olympian Andrew Baddely is the winner of the second annual Boston Athletic Association Invitational Mile.

Baddely, who was ninth in the 1,500 metres in Beijing, crossed the same finish line used for Monday’s Boston Marathon in 4 minutes, 8.6 seconds.

Josh Cox, who was once one of the top Americans in the Boston Marathon, opted for a shorter race this year, winning the B.A.A. 5k in 14:30. Jennifer Campbell of the United States won the women’s 5k in 16:50.

Morgan Uceny of the United States won the women’s professional mile in 4:43.0.
