Anirudha and Gnaneswara shine

S. Anirudha (122, 108b, 17x4, 5x6) and Y. Gnaneswara Rao (133, 145b, 18x4, 3x6) put the Indian Bank bowling to the sword as Globe Trotters, in the most compelling batting display of the day, declared at 369 for five against Indian Bank at the MRF-Pachaiyappa’s ground on Wednesday, the first day of the seventh round in the TNCA first division cricket league.

At the IC-Guru Nanak ground, opener K.B. Arun Karthik (102, 203b, 10x4) produced his fourth hundred of the season — he has 604 runs in seven innings — as holder Vijay CC progressed to 194 for one against UFCC (T. Nagar).

Nilesh Subramanian notched up his third century of the season and crossed 600 runs in this edition when he made 110 (182b, 12x4, 1x6) for Jolly Rovers against India Pistons at the CPT-IP ground.
