Air show accidents around the world

From United Kingdom to Austria, this week saw a range of air shows that killed and injured many people on the scene.

Air show accidents

>Britain

A military jet crashed into a busy main road on August 22, killing 7 people and injuring more than a dozen others in the Shoreham Airshow near Brighton in southern England.

>Switzerland

Two planes collided in the air in northern Switzerland on August 23 in the village Dittingen near Basel. The third plane was not involved in the crash and landed safely.

>Austria

A small plane crashed at an air show in southern Austria on August 30, fatally injuring the pilot at the Hirt airfield, near the town of Friesach in the southern province of Carinthia.
