Now, read text messages on your watch

Japanese watchmaker Citizen has designed a new wristwatch that receives mobile phone text messages.

The i:VIRT M wristwatch uses Bluetooth to synchronise with mobile phones and receive texts.

The watch glows and vibrates when a user receives a text on his/her mobile. An owner can read the subject line of the message and up to 70 characters of the text on the watch.

To enable easy reading of messages the watch magnifies letters 1.2 times their original size.

“These watches are good for checking important messages in a casual way, even in conferences or on crowded trains, where users may feel uneasy taking out their mobile phones,” the Telegraph quoted a Citizen spokesman, as saying. The i:VIRT M is priced at 30,000 Yen (209 pounds).
