According to a survey, China’s supercomputer Tianhe-2 has topped the list of Top 500 supercomputers achieving processing speeds of 33.86 petaflops per second. That is, it can perform 1,000 trillion calculations per second, making it the fastest computer ever. Developed by the National University of Defence, the machine is set to break the U.S.’s monopoly in strategic technology.
