The T tangle

People of the Telangana region do not want a separate state without Hyderabad; the Andhra region is against bifurcation; more regions will demand separate states if Telangana becomes a reality; and multiple problems cannot be ruled out on the division of a state. A States Reorganisation Commission is the only solution.

N.S.R. Murthy,

Secunderabad

Hyderabad is a developed city today because of investments from across the country and the world. That became possible because it has been the capital of Andhra Pradesh for many years. Handing it over to Telangana will mean ignoring the voice of lakhs of Indians. It will give the impression that the political elite want to maintain their domination in a small State.
