I am surprised at the media’s persistent focus on BCCI president N. Srinivasan’s resignation. The betting and spot-fixing allegations are related to the IPL. So it is the IPL Commissioner who should go.
Two IPL teams are in the focus at present — the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings. The Delhi police have said more teams may be involved.
Why, then, call only for Mr. Srinivasan’s exit? The clamour will only strengthen his allegation of conspiracy against him.
