In the news again

The revelation by the former Cabinet Secretary, K.M. Chandrashekhar, to the JPC investigating the 2G scam that the Prime Minister ignored his recommendation — that an entry fee of Rs. 36,000 crore be charged for spectrum — is serious. Sonia Gandhi and Co. are in an unenviable position of having to defend their party and government against a spate of charges being levelled against them.

A Prime Minister ignored an important note from the Cabinet Secretary and the rest is history. The UPA Chairperson’s son-in-law is accused of corruption in land dealings. The NPC’s Sharad Pawar is embroiled in the Lavasa controversy. DMK Ministers are also under the scanner. Are we destined to suffer this regime till 2014?
