Congratulations to the Mozart of Madras A.R. Rahman, on bringing laurels to India once again by winning two Grammy awards for his number Jai Ho and outstanding soundtrack for the film Slumdog Millionaire. May he live long and bring more accolades to the country.

Rahman is undeniably one of the best musicians of this century. His resplendent talent and his humble personality have yet again proved it.

After the Oscars, it was but logical for Rahman to win the Grammys. He has composed many songs that are better than Jai Ho. The background score of Slumdog Millionaire is, no doubt, definitely one of his bests. Music lovers across the globe will discover what he really is only when they hear some of his compositions from Hindi and Tamil movies.

M. Madhavacharya,

Hyderabad

While an Indian getting so many awards was a matter of pride and joy, on the flip side one wonders whether the media hype is necessary. There is so much news to be published on Indian and international politics.
