Exit polls say ...

December 22, 2014 01:54 am | Updated September 23, 2017 12:51 pm IST

If the exit poll predictions come true (“ >Hung verdict in J&K, say exit polls ,” Dec.21) then the BJP will add one more State to its kitty and improve its tally in Jammu and Kashmir. This might also help the party improve its strength in the Rajya Sabha where it is facing the heat from a determined Opposition.

That Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand recorded a high voter turnout is no mean achievement.  One must congratulate the voters who ignored bullets and veiled threats and wanted to be a part of the democratic process.  Last but not least, the clear winner is the Election Commission, which judiciously managed the exercise in phases.
