This has reference to your timely editorial, “Break the climate deadlock” (Sept. 24). India and China have a vital role to play in curbing the green house gas emissions. The two countries should check the indiscriminate growth of their population which leads to increased destruction of the greenery.
We merely follow or do extended research on the basis of work carried out in the western countries. Instead, why not concentrate more on fundamental research with an Indian perspective? This will prove especially effective in the context of climate change.
