Centre's move

March 05, 2012 12:14 am | Updated 12:14 am IST

Much has been said about the Supreme Court's directive on interlinking rivers. Now, we have the Centre seeking a review of the Supreme Court's judgment in the 2G spectrum case (March 3). If this is the kind of reaction to judgments on issues of national importance, what would be the fate of the “un-influential” common man knocking on the doors of justice?

Vathsala Jayaraman,

Chennai

The Centre's plea for review of the 2G verdict appears to be a reaction to possible corporate manipulation behind the scenes. How can the government seek a review after the court specifically held that the said policy was illegal and unconstitutional?

G.S. Mani,

New Delhi
