Another rail accident

The train accident that involved the Gorakhdham Express in Uttar Pradesh makes one want to bow one’s head in shame. Precious lives have been lost, yet the accident was almost forgotten by almost all media outlets. When will political leaders value our lives? The Railways needs to be overhauled. As Mr. Modi has got a decisive mandate, he needs to look at the issue of privatisation of core areas in the Railways. Safety is one area that needs private sector inputs.
