An unjust law

An unjust law is no law at all, St. Augustine once said. This aptly describes the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (“Revisit AFSPA”, April 26). Although in certain places that have been designated as “disturbed areas” the armed forces require special powers, laws authorising indiscriminate use of force and blanket impunity against crimes committed in the line of duty should be revoked.
