The move by the Modi government to consider the Model Shops and Establishment Bill, 2016 will be a huge boost for retailers and customers who are hard-pressed for time during the day to shop (“ >Cinemas, malls may soon be open 24X7 ”, June 30). It will also create significant employment opportunities as there can be a clear demarcation between night and day shifts. However, safety should come first.
