The Catholic Church’s refusal for allow Catholic priests to marry and its stand on women’s ordination are factors that may further retard the progress of the Catholic Church (“ >Reclaiming a space for the Church ”, July 29). A new generation of Christians is drifting away from the Church. Hence, there must be efforts to create a ‘Universal Church’ that must inspire the younger generation and motivate them towards getting back to the Church and the Bible.
