CPI (M) State secretary G. Ramakrishnan on Saturday asked the State Government to convene an all-party meeting for chalking out concrete measures to get the Cauvery water for samba cultivation in delta districts.
In a statement here, he said that Tamil Nadu was in the grip of a deep crisis as Karnataka had rejected the directions of the Cauvery River Authority headed by the Prime Minister and the Supreme Court to release water.
Mr. Ramakrishnan said instead of breaking the adamant approach of the Karnataka Government, the Centre was adopting an indifferent attitude.
