Stalin meets Alagiri

Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday met Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, M.K. Alagiri, who is celebrating his 60th birthday on Sunday.

Mr. Stalin greeted his elder brother with a bouquet. Along with Mr. Alagiri, his wife, Gandhi Alagiri, received the Deputy Chief Minister, who was accompanied by his sister Selvi.

Mr. Stalin spent around 45 minutes at the Union Minister's residence in Sathya Sai Nagar. “He (Mr. Alagiri) has requested the party cadre not to meet him on his birthday. So I came here today to greet him,” Mr. Stalin told reporters.

Mr. Stalin expressed happiness about All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MLA, P.K. Sekar Babu, joining the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. “He is a hard worker and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has accorded him a warm reception.”

Minister for Backward Classes K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran, party district secretaries P. Moorthi and K. Thalapathi were among those who were present.
