Quiz contest on January 24

The 18th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz contest will be held at the Salem Gujarati Samaj Educational and Charity Trust here on January 24.

The event, powered by Eveready Industries India Limited, is open for students of Standards VII to IX.

Each team should comprise two members. Any number of teams can take part in the competition from a school by registering themselves online. They should pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹ 200 a team.

The team members should be from the same school and no cross teams are allowed. But, for the final six teams, a maximum of only two teams from the same school will be allowed.

Schools could register online at https://www.thehindu.com/ywquiz and offline by either payment by cheque or cash at the office of The Hindu , second floor, Raja Towers, New Bus Stand road, Salem- 636 004. For details schools can contact phone: 9600901970 or 0427 3001003.

The competition for the senior category will be held at 2 p.m. and the prize distribution will be held at 4.30 p.m.

Apart from prizes for winners and certificates for participants, there are prizes for the audience too for instant answers.
