Plane makes emergency landing

Mumbai: Two people were injured after an aircraft registered with a private flying club made an emergency landing in Dhule on Friday evening.

“A Cessna aircraft registered with the Dhule Flying Club was on a routine training sortie when the pilot, Captain J.P. Sharma, detected glitches. He made an emergency landing near a village in Sakri. There were six people on board and two of them, including Capt. Sharma, were injured,” said Superintendent of Police M. Ramkumar, Dhule.

The flying club and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation will be conducting their own inquiries into the matter.
