PIL against Nitish is frivolous, EC tells SC
The Election Commission of India has urged the Supreme Court to levy “exemplary costs” on a PIL petitioner who has accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of concealing a criminal case against him in his election affidavits. The EC said the writ petition, filed by advocate M.L. Sharma, made unsubstantiated allegations against it based on incorrect facts and without producing any cogent evidence.
