The Mysore police have taken up an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of three minor girls by their mother’s live-in partner.

The rescued girls are now in the Juvenile Home for Girls here. The case came to light after their mother narrated her daughters’ plight to the authorities at Odanadi Seva Samsthe, a voluntary organisation working for the rescue and rehabilitation of exploited women and children.

The woman’s husband deserted her many years ago, according to a press released issued by Odanadi on Tuesday.

Odanadi said it referred the case to the Children’s Welfare Committee (CWC) here and appealed to it to initiate legal action. The mother and the girls are mentally shattered, said Stanley and Parashuram of Odanadi.

The CWC has summoned the mother, the girls and the accused for investigation. The case has been brought to the notice of Commissioner of Police K.L. Sudheer and the police have taken up the investigation.
