Car falls into well, four die

Four persons were killed when the car they were travelling by fell into an open well at an agricultural land adjacent to NH 206 near Kaspadi village in Sagar taluk in the early hours of Saturday.

The police have identified the dead as Gowtham Roy (45), who hails from Kolkata and resides in Mysore , his wife, Urmila Roy (38), daughter Usiri (12) and driver Fairoz Khan.

Gowtham was working at the Postal Training Centre in Mysore. The family was going on a holiday to Goa from Mysore. The driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve near Kaspadi Cross and the vehicle fell into the well in a farmland.
