Meeting in support of Karnataka CM

Opposing the attempts of the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s loyalists to unseat Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, various community organisations, including Rajya Vokkaligara Okkoota, will hold a meeting on Monday at Town Hall here. In a press release, C.V. Devaraj, general secretary of the okkoota, opposed the move to unseat Mr. Gowda at a time when the State was facing sever drought. Moreover, Mr. Gowda had ensured transparency in administration. Move to displace him was politically motivated, he said.
