Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu, who has been on a ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra from October 2, appears to be dogged by health problems even as he is continuing his walkathon without any break, ignoring the doctors’ advice.

Party sources admitted that Mr. Naidu developed blisters on his feet from the third day of the padayatra itself. A medical team of the Government Medical College, Anantapur, which is following him as part of the protocol for the Leader of the Opposition, was said to have advised him a few days’ rest to allow the blisters to heal.

“However, Mr. Naidu is continuing with his padayatra. The blisters will go dry as he keeps walking,” sources close to Mr. Naidu’s family said. The TDP president was also said to have suffered infection in his eyes due to showering of flower petals by party supporters. “He is using eye-drops ,” the sources said. . Naidu’s security personnel have been appealing to the crowds not to throw petals on him stating that he is allergic to it.
