Sridhar Reddy (30), a product chemist and his helper Deepak (30) were checking supply of nitrogen into a reactor where a drug Omniprozale was being processed. “Apparently, Nitrogen got leaked and they fell unconscious after inhaling it” the DSP of Ramachandrapuram, A. Sivaramakrishna said.

Fellow workers who noticed the duo missing at tea time around 2.30 a.m, searched for them.

They were found unconscious and immediately rushed to a private hospital in the nearby Kukatpally locality.

Both of them were declared dead.
