Two CoBRA jawans killed in Maoist ambush

Two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) special unit Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) were killed and more than 12 others injured in an encounter with Maoists in Sukma district in south Chhattisgarh on Thursday.

“Two CRPF constables have been martyred, five are critically wounded and seven others have suffered injuries in an encounter that took place in Sukma district today [on Thursday],” Mr. Dinesh Pratap Upadhyay, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the CRPF, Dantewada range, told The Hindu .
