Mumbai Rajdhani Express halted at Bayana station

Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express was delayed by nearly three hours when it arrived at the New Delhi railway station on Monday after it hit cattle, leading to engine failure. “The Rajdhani Express [train no. 12951] was stuck for around three hours at Bayana Junction railway station in Rajasthan due to engine failure after the train hit cattle,” an official from Kota division of the Indian Railways said.

Spare engine

“A spare engine was called in from Bharatpur, after which the train left Bayana railway station at around 9 a.m.,” the official added.

The train, which was supposed to arrive at New Delhi at 8.35 a.m., reached the destination at 11.40 a.m. The train had departed from Mumbai Central railway station on Sunday at 5 p.m. and takes 15 hours and 30 minutes to reach New Delhi.
