Total EPIC, photo roll coverage by year-end

April 17, 2010 12:31 am | Updated 03:45 am IST - NEW DELHI

The Election Commission has asked the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) to ensure that the coverage of the Elector's Photo Identity Card (EPIC) and preparation of photo electoral rolls touch cent per cent by year-end, from 82 and 77 per cent now.

The CEOs should send fortnightly progress reports to the Commission on maximisation of photos in the roll.

It has appealed to voters who have not got the EPIC to get it done immediately as this will prevent impersonation.
