Tight security at RSS headquarters

November 29, 2012 12:50 am | Updated 12:50 am IST - NAGPUR:

The police have tightened security at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters here in the light of threats by the Taliban after the execution of 26/11 convict Ajmal Kasab.

Commissioner of Police Ankush Dhanvijay told reporters, “We have also beefed up security at almost all the vital installations here. The Maharashtra Assembly building and Ramgiri (the Chief Minister’s residence) have also been provided extra security. I have personally sensitised all the DCPs and other officers and I appeal to the citizens to be alert and inform police if they find anything suspicious,” he said.

The RSS headquarters was provided with heavy security after three terrorists were gunned down in June 2006 before it.
