A day after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's attack on his wife Sunanda Pushkar, Union Minister Shashi Tharoor on Tuesday said she is “priceless” but the Gujarat Chief Minister needs to be able to love someone to understand that.
Mr. Tharoor also said his wife was worth a lot more than Mr. Modi’s “imaginary Rs. 50 crore”.
“My wife is worth a lot more than your imaginary 50 crores. She is priceless. But you need2be able2love some1 2understand that,” Mr. Tharoor tweeted.
Speaking in Shimla on Monday, Mr. Modi had commented on Mr. Tharoor’s personal life, saying his wife was once his “50-crore-rupee girlfriend”, a day after the Congress leader made a comeback in the Union Cabinet reshuffle as Minister of State for Human Resources Development.
“There was a Congress leader who was a minister. He was accused of amassing wealth from cricket. He had said in Parliament that he is not connected to the Rs. 50 crore in the lady’s name,” Mr. Modi said in an apparent reference to Mr. Tharoor in the context of the IPL cricket controversy involving Ms. Pushkar in 2010. Mr. Tharoor later resigned as Minister of State for External Affairs. “...And then girlfriend becomes wife, we learn some time later...the issues are still not settled and he (Tharoor) is now made a minister,” the Gujarat Chief Minister said on Monday.

Well Mr Narendra Modi's confidence in himself is a strength. But
overconfidence invites disasters. The entire country requires a
statesman to run the Country, which we are lacking. But his instinct
in attacking women needlessly might bulldoze his ambitions and the
Country's need. Earlier with Sonia Gandhi when he talked needlessly
about expenditure incurred on her health and now on Tharoor's wife who
has got nothing to do with politics. Its not that he does not have
issues during speeches, development and being non corrupt and to
escape the vigilant scrutiny of investigative agencies under the
command of Union Govt are achievements in itself. If Modi loses the
Nation loses. Its fundamental he controls his temperament in the
larger interest of the Nation.
According to Bernad Shaw, if you really want to have attention of a person , your comment to that person should be an irritating one, because people will think and instantly reacts only if the comments irritates them otherwise they will just ignore it.
Believe, politicians should make up their limited time for better work and use it for the betterment of people who had elected them. However, the points raised by Modi with regard to the unsettled matters should see light some day, to have a corruption free India. However, commenting on family should be avaoided. Respect both the gentleman, and they should start working towards benefits of public. Also, Tharoor should be more attentive towards the public feelings, rather than initiating into a debate, which he did earlier, resulting in his resignation. He is educated and a man with knowledge, which I personally feel should be made use for public and not power mongers or IPL teams etc.,
Tharoor's personal life (for that matter anyone else's) is strictly
personal. However, he had to resign earlier because because this
personal matter got into the centre stage. Otherwise, there was no
reason for him to resign, just for personal reasons!
Politicians across the political spectrum should be dignified and not cricise their personal lives. What Modi wanted to say could have been said differently. Could have highlighted the corruption part rather than telling about Tharoor's wife. Let some sense dawn on the politicians.
We had great parlimentarians and politicians who are above petty politics and gimmicks. The mud slinging behavior on each other is one of the common political phenomenon we see both in centre and state politics. Talking about someone's personal life, particularly about one's wife does not reflect a behavior of a politician who is tipped to be the strong man of a particular party. Mr.,Tharoor is a versatile person with a very powerful resume behind him. One needs to respect the man for what he is not what belongs to him particularly a person who is his wife and whom he loves dearly.

WHO CARES IF THAROOR IS ALIVE OR DEAD...SO MANY LIVES CAN BE BETTERED IF THIS FUNDS THAT HE HAS HIDDEN FOR MRS SONIA IS OUT TO PUBLIC.
