In a tragic incident a couple were killed while their two children sustained injuries in a house collapse incident at Hussainialam area on Sunday morning.
The victims, Syed Mohd Moin Hussaini alias Hyder (50) his wife Aliya (40), lived along with their daughter Sameera (12) and son Syed Suleiman (7) on the first floor of a building that is part of Hussainialam Aashoorkhana (Ashoor Khanas are meant to mourn the tragedy).
"At around 7 a.m a portion of the building caved in following recent rains. All the four persons came under the debris," ACP Charminar Ashok Chakravarthy said.
Soon after the incident locals rushed to the site and brought out the injured persons.
The Hussainialam police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital where Hyder and Aliya died while undergoing treatment. Locals told police that the family moved into the building a few days ago following renovation of the main Aashoorkhana building taken up.
