Trains running late due to fog

Several trains either terminating or passing through South Central Railway jurisdiction are running late, mainly due to foggy weather in different parts of the country, according to a press release.

The five express trains which have been delayed are as follows. No.12724 New Delhi-Hyderabad AP Express is running late by 13 hours, no. 12296 Patna-Bangalore Express (6 hours), no. 12626 New Delhi-Trivandrum Kerala Express (2 hours and 20 minutes) no. 12650 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Yeshvantpur Express (4 hours and 20 mins) and no. 12670 Chhapra-Chennai Ganga Kaveri Express (5 hours and 30 mins).

Special trains

Another press release said SCR will run four specials between Secunderabad and Kakinada town to clear the rush of passengers. Advance booking for these premium trains will start at 8 a.m. on Thursday, only through the IRCTC portal, a release said.

Accordingly, no. 02738 superfast train will leave here at 10.15 p.m. on January 18 and 20, to reach its destination at 7.15 a.m. the next day. In the return, no. 02737 will run as a premium superfast train and leave Kakinada at 7.25 p.m. on January 17 and 19, and arrive at Secunderabad at 4.40 a.m. the next day.

The SCR will also run 12 Sankranti specials between Guntur and Visakhapatnam.

Accordingly, no. 08508 Guntur-Visakhapatnam Sankranti Special will depart Guntur at 4.50 p.m. on January 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19, to reach Visakhapatnam at 11.30 p.m. on the same day.

In the opposite direction, no. 08507 will Visakhapatnam at 5.35 a.m. on January 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19, to reach Guntur at 12.30 the same day.
