Stage is all set for the smooth conduct of Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) written examination in 64 examination centres in various parts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
In all 18,457 candidates will appear for the TET, a pre-qualification for recruitment of teachers in government-run schools in the State. As many as 3,279 candidates would appear for the examination for the paper-I which is scheduled to be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon. Another 15,178 candidates would appear for the paper-II which would be conducted from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., an official release said on Saturday.
Official sources said that the candidates would not be allowed if they come late even by one minute to their allotted examination centre. The candidates were asked to arrive at least one hour in advance at their centres to avoid last-minute confusion. The candidates were also asked to get only hall-ticket, writing pad and black ball-point pen to the centre.
The officials had roped in the services of various gazetted officers as departmental officers and chief superintendents for the conduct of examinations. They had also decided to utilize services of 708 invigilators and deploy flying squad to check any irregularities in the centres.
