The TDP, which claims to have empowered BCs in the State, is now moving a no-confidence motion against the Speaker who hails from BC community.

The TDP leaders should rethink on their decision as BCs in the State will distance themselves from the party, said TRS MLA Konda Surekha.

Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, she said the TDP decided to move no-confidence motion against Speaker after the suspension its MLAs for a week over their unruly conduct in the House.

“The TDP MLAs deliberately invited the suspension on themselves, creating a din over a non-issue. Now they want to gain political mileage out of suspension,” she alleged.

Ms. Surekha said the Opposition should also own responsibility for farmers’ suicides as their remarks are depressing and provocative. The TDP leaders should stop acting as representatives of Andhra leaders and work sincerely for Telangana people, she advised.
