TD MLA among 11 booked for Khammam incident

False cases foisted, says Telugu Desam district chief

Khammam three-town police on Sunday registered cases against 11 persons, including TDP MLA from Sattupalli Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, in connection with Friday’s incident of attack on the agriculture market yard here.

Late on Sunday afternoon, the town police arrested 10 accused in the case of vandalism of the market yard.

Those arrested include M Anada Rao, 50, of Chirumarri, N Venkateswara Rao, 40, and S Kondaiah, 38 of Banapuram, Islavath Bhanu, 35, of Kallur mandal, Bukya Narasimha Rao, 30, of Enkoor mandal, Bukya Srinu, 27 and Banoth Saidulu, 30, of Tirumalayapalem mandal, T Bhavsingh, 26, of Karepalli mandal, Banoth Upender, 27, of Nelakondapalli mandal of Khammam district and Bukya Ashok, 20, of Mahabubabad district.

Mr Venkata Veeraiah, who was in Hyderabad, could not be contacted for his comment on registration of cases against him.
