Suspension of Banswada Circle Inspector sought

March 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

The leaders from all parties submitted a memorandum to Joint Collector A. Ravinder Reddy and Superintendent of Police S. Chandrashekar Reddy urging them to suspend Banswada Circle Inspector Srinivas Reddy for his alleged high-handedness on a BJP leader for seeking information pertaining to a building belonging to Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy’s family under the RTI Act.

Talking to newsmen at the Collectorate on Monday, former DCC president Gadugu Gangadhar said that the CI had unleashed a terror with the support of the Minister. If the police officer was not taken to the task and placed under suspension, it would send a wrong message that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was encouraging unlawful activities of his Cabinet colleagues.
