Suspended TDP members to meet President

March 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

TDP floor leader in the Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that suspended legislators of his party would leave for New Delhi on Monday to meet the President and Chief Election Commissioner to apprise them of recent developments leading to their suspension.

Mr. Dayakar Rao, who arrived in the district on Saturday to attend ‘brahmotsavalu’ at Indur Tirumala Govinda temple, accused the Chief Minister of throttling the voice of the Opposition in the Assembly while suspending TDP members. Condemning the alleged unilateral attitude of Mr. Rao, he said that the ruling party was afraid of the presence of TDP members in the Assembly.
