Subsidised redgram counters inaugurated

The Agricultural Marketing Department has set up special counters to sell redgram (kandi pappu) at a subsidised price of Rs. 120 per kg in two Rythu Bazars in the town.

`Joint Collector D. Divya on Tuesday inaugurated a special counter on the premises of the Rythu Bazar near the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) here. Another special counter was opened in the Rythu Bazar near the Yellendu crossroads. According to sources, the special counters have been set up in view of the spurt in prices of redgram in the open market.
