Students take part in Sankranti festivities

To educate students on the importance of Sankranti festival, the management of Siddartha High School in Mankammathota in Karimnagar district conducted several competitions on the school premises on Saturday.

As part of the celebrations, the girl students took part in rangoli competition.

They also participated in ‘bhogi mantalu’ (fire) and cooking competition.

The Gangireddu show and Haridasu’s performance entertained many who were present on the occasion.

School academic director D. Sripal Reddy said they wanted to educate students about the importance of celebrating the Sankranti festival and so organised several activities including painting of the floor with colours, flying kites, preparation of savouries and others.
