Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy said that the government would not tolerate anti-social elements.
Addressing a gathering after formally inaugurating the police stations at Indrakaran, Kohir and Zaheerabad in the district on Tuesday, Mr. Narasimha Reddy said that police should deal with people politely and try to address their problems.
Stating that the government has been implementing the promises made during elections, the Home Minister said that strict vigil in the important locations by the armed police has been increased.
Announcing that new vehicles would be provided to every police station, the Minister said that cricket matches would be held as part of increasing interaction between police and public.
Council chairman K. Swami Goud stressed the need of people cooperating with the police.
ZP chairperson A. Rajamani, Collector Rahul Bojja, MLCs Ramulu Naik, Bhoopal Reddy, MLA Chinta Prabhakar and others were present.
