Activists of the All India Democratic Women’s Association, here on Saturday, staged dharna demanding the government to strengthen Primary Health Centres and Area Hospitals and rein in the private hospitals.

Talking to mediapersons on the occasion, the AIDWA district general secretary S. Latha said that despite people residing all over the State were suffering from seasonal diseases like malaria, typhoid, dengue, gastroenteritis and so on the Government did not launch any action plan to prevent them. There were no sufficient number of doctors and medicines at the Government hospitals, she said.
