Seven militia members of the banned CPI (Maoist) outfit were arrested by the district police near Paridhi panchayat in Pedabayalu mandal of Visakhapatnam district on Sunday.
The arrested members were K. Malleshwara Rao (23), V. Satya Rao (21), P. Sanyasi Rao (20), P. Rupana (25), P. Appanna (28), P. Latchanna (35) and K. Bittu (35).
According to Inspector of Pedabayalu Police Station Malleshwara Rao, all the arrested militia members belonged to Pedabayalu mandal and were involved in two cases in Pedabayalu and one in Munchingput area.
