A section of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) leaders raised a banner of revolt against their leader Manda Krishna and demanded his arrest, here on Saturday.

MRPS State vice president Kommula Babu, general secretary Kodepaka Sudhakar Madiga, and scores of members of Madiga Students Federation staged a rasta roko at the busy Hanamkonda Chowrastha.

They accused Manda Krishna of inciting his followers to attack one Vangapalli Srinivas, coordinator of Madiga Students Federation.

“Manda Krishna deceived the community and amassed crores of rupees at the cost of the community. He sold the Madiga movement to political parties for his personal gains. The Madiga community will teach him a lesson,” they said.

The MRPS leaders demanded that the State government arrest him else they would launch a State wide agitation soon.

MRPS district president S Sambaiah, leaders Jannu Santosh, K Raju, N Kiran Kumar, J Srikanth and several others took part in the protest.
