Heavy rain disrupted the ongoing physical efficiency test for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors of Police at the Police Parade Grounds, the venue of the test, here for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, as the grounds turned slippery due to the downpour.

According to sources, the stipulated physical efficiency tests, including the 100-metre and 800-metre run, could not be held on Wednesday due to incessant rain. However, certificates verification process and physical (chest and height) measurement tests were held as per schedule without any interruption at the CRPF barracks on the premises of the district police headquarters and makeshift tents at the parade ground , sources said.

Three buses were arranged to ferry the candidates from the police headquarters to the police parade ground for physical measurement tests. However, the candidates from far-off places had a tough time in reaching the district police headquarters due to inclement weather conditions.
