The Police Department in Adilabad has emerged an accommodating employer in the Sub-Inspector and constable recruitment process as it is permitting candidates to get the date of their physical efficiency test changed on specific grounds. Candidates are making a request for change in date for the test on account of ill-health or the date clashing with some other examination and they are being obliged by Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal, who is overseeing the recruitment process.
On Saturday, the second day of the efficiency test, many candidates approached the SP urging him to allocate them some other day for taking the test. Most of them were not well and their request was conceded. Of the 920 candidates who were to take the test, 580 appeared and another 25 were given deferred dates.
In the just-concluded test for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors, the department has permitted several candidates to appear even though they were absent on the given dates.
A candidate, Nirosha, from Jannaram mandal who had broken her arm while practicing for appearing in physical tests, was allowed to appear at a later date and she did qualify.
