PM’s words of praise inspirational: KCR

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent praise of efforts and conviction of the Telangana Government in supplying drinking and irrigation water inspired the people of the State said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mr. Rao said in his Independence Day speech that an effort to revive Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, the foundation stone for which was laid by Mr. Modi, was a big success of the State Government. It was achieved against all odds. The factory will not only generate employment but make the country self-sufficient in fertilizer production.

Mr. Rao unfurled the National Flag at a colourful function at the historic Golconda Fort. Cultural artistes in their colourful best occupied the top of damaged ruins of the fort all around. The CM took the salute from contingents of police that marched past. In his address the Chief Minister listed out the achievements of his Government since the first Independence Day was celebrated at the same venue in 2014 when the State was two-and-a-half months old.

IT World Congress

Mr. Rao said that the Government was committed to providing internet connectivity to all households in rural areas. It was in the process of laying optic fibre cables for the purpose. He announced that Hyderabad will host the World Congress of Information Technology in 2018. He expressed the Government's resolve to provide one lakh jobs during its five-year term.
