Hyderabad Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy had another round of talks with Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma in the backdrop of a raging controversy over the Hyderabad Metro Rail project here on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters later, he disputed allegations leveled by TDP legislator Revanth Reddy that land allotted to Metro Rail in Gachibowli was sought to be given to another company. Mr. Reddy said the land was not taken back and there was no such proposal with the government also.

The meeting that lasted about half an hour was a follow-up of their discussions held on Thursday after a section of the media published news that Metro Rail concessionaire L&T had threatened to back out from the work midway.

Mr Reddy told reporters later that Metro Rail works were progressing without any hurdles. Changes in the alignment, if any would be intimated to L&T only after the State Government took a decision, he said.

Stating that he had inspected Metro Rail works in Begumpet and Chilkalguda on Thursday, the HMRL MD said he was satisfied with the progress of work.
