Nizamabad mourns death of ex-DGP Ramulu’s grandson

November 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

The Pawar family here plunged into deep sorrow, and the family members were crying inconsolably, as soon as news of the death of their cousins – Varun Pawar (22) and Arun Pawar (17), who died in a road accident on Outer Ring Road at Kokapet in Hyderabad – spread on Wednesday morning.

Varun was the lone son of Dr. Subash Pawar, a paediatrician and son-in-law of former Director General of Police Pervaram Ramulu. Arun and Rahul are sons of Digambar Rao Pawar. Mr. Subash and Mr. Digambar Pawar are the younger brothers of former MLA Satish Pawar, who passed away last year.

Rahul, the younger brother of Arun Pawar, sustained injuries in the mishap and was admitted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

Mr. Subash’s wife Ravathi, daughter of Mr. Ramulu, died of cancer some six years ago. The Pawars are a joint family and therefore the tragedy that struck them was too overwhelming to bear. Mr. Satish’s mother, nonagenarian Radha Bai, was apparently not informed of the death of her grandsons.

His four daughters, who live in different places, were rushing back home here to attend the funeral of Varun and Arun.

The last rites of the deceased youth will be held on Thursday.
